Eno-Literary Prize
Wine between taste and culture
As part of the 'Benvenuto Vermentino' event, the closing ceremony of the 'Vermentino' national wine-literary prize is held every year in Olbia. The prize is awarded to a work of published Italian fiction that captures, in a unique and original way, peculiar and significant aspects of the varied world of wine production and work in the fields between the bunches of grapes and the rows of vines.
Conceived in 2017 by the Sassari Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the municipalities of Olbia and Castelnuovo Magra and with the collaboration of wine producers from Sardinia, Liguria and Tuscany, it has become a symbol of identification of the supply chain.

NORTHERN SARDINIA
Wine, healthy food and breathtaking landscapes
Sardinia has them all. Sardinian wine is produced in one of the most interesting wine-growing areas in Italy, with a massive presence of indigenous grape varieties. It is a place that has remained tied to agro-pastoral traditions: Sardinians respect nature and live in synchrony with it.

Food
A long-lived land, cradle of food and wine traditions with a simple and marked character, when it comes to flavours, Sardinia needs no introduction.

Sardinia's food culture is strictly divided into food from the land and from the sea, reflecting the island's historical vicissitudes and its geographical landscapes, ranging from the coastline to the rugged mountains of the interior.
Vermentino
Sardinian Vermentino stands out for its intense flavour and notes of aromatic herbs, myrtle and Mediterranean vegetation. It pairs perfectly with fish dishes and the local cuisine of the interior, such as white meats or cured meats.
In its dual denominations "di Gallura DOCG" and "di Sardegna", Vermentino represents excellence among local products. It is an indisputable instrument of economic growth and development for the industries of North Sardinia as a whole and Gallura in particular.

Nature

Sardinia is the perfect choice for holiday-makers who seek more than just its splendid beaches and crystal clear waters and, instead, wish to discover the numerous other treasures it offers.
The Sardinian landscape is, in fact, typically mountainous even at relatively low heights, due to the millenary erosion which has shaped its profile, and this makes it perfect for unique experiences such as cycling, trekking and spelaeology expeditions, as well as horse-riding.
